LIDIM TRIP

LIDIM has two types of trip:
There is Vision and Mission Trip

A vision trip is a 7-10 days trip taken to one of our ministry partnerships around the world. A vision trip is usually led by a staff member including students also from the Volunteering Ministries. Vision trips are a great way to experience a new culture and find out what ministry overseas looks like. On a vision trip you will do ministry on campus and assist the long-term staff members or interns living there. You will meet others and learn about their lives and culture, while sharing yours at the same time.

A mission trip is not a vacation or a mere cross-cultural experience. It's just what it sounds like -- a trip with a specific mission. According to Scripture, the mission is not necessarily giving handouts to the poor or even aiding long-term missionaries in their work only. It's about sharing the Gospel while bringing others from Hopeless to Hopeful
.

LIDIM is where it is today thanks to the amazing generosity of the community. We log an average of 200+ volunteer hours per month from board and committee members. LIDIM regularly takes on interns and partners with graduate students for special projects. All of our resources go directly to programs; we have no paid staff.

Project For LIDIM

Title:I-Project

Aid: Food and many other things

II-Location
Anse-a-Galets, one of the two municipalities of La Gonave, western department, in a pension.

Types.III-

Food or other assistance that can help the poor find themselves in this board. The building also needs a very large increase in repair and rooms of residents sympathize because one small room.

IV-Enforcement and conditions

Motivated people in the community. Reports, documents, photos will be compiled and submitted to them after execution of the distribution.

V-Supervision of works.

Experienced and credible individual supervisors (City Council and other youth groups living in the community).

VI-Description

This is a form of food assistance benefits to persons residing in a boarding house.

There has never been in an area such project in order to fill this great need of these vulnerable people, who have no family to help.

VII-Beneficiaries

Anse-a-Galets, the largest town of the island is part of the first section with over 56,548 inhabitants and an area of 389 square kilometers. No plans to improve the condition of residents in food. The entire population of this place and the six sections rural part of this town ready to welcome such a project and are ready to give their participation.

VIII-Background and justification.

The town of Anse-a-Galets, located on the first point of the island of La Gonave, confronts problems of all kinds. One problem is starvation. Those considered as normal people (physically and mentally) cannot find a hot meal every day, how much more reason for residents to live a miserable life because many of them disabled, mentally ill, women and men who have no families and also their children cannot attend school.

IX-Cost of the project. (Monthly)

Given the number of people living in the pension, the cost is estimated at around 10 bags of rice of 100 Lbs or 20 Lbs bags of 50 or more (flour, wheat, but ...), 7 bags of weight, 5boxes of oil. or more

X-Reliability Project.

Just after two distributions that we have done with our limited resources, we decided to develop this project which we hope would succeed with certainty. We await your participation and collaboration for the continuity of this initiative (project).

XI-Funding

Project funding will be provided exclusively by you and individuals, institutions interested in this project and as an initiator, we will have to give our contribution to continuity.

Aid may give cash (food) or liquid (money).

XII-expected results.
Residents will have to benefit from a few pots of food every month (because we will have to make a distribution each month).
- To satisfy this basic need to know to find a hot meal and other daily needs.

Living in Deliverance Ministery International Inc, es una organización Internacional que tiene su sede social en Estados Unidos, Florida, un anexo en Haití- La Gonave. Esta fundada por la Dra. Veronique Osiris en enero 2004. Veamos su visión y objetivos en el sitio web. www.lidim.org. En el objetivo de extenderse y estar siempre cerca de la comunidad migratoria haitiana, implanta un anexo en Argentina a partir de noviembre del 2012, para defender los derechos de los haitianos en Argentina y acompañarlos en su proceso de inserción y capacitación sin perder la relación con su origen.

¿Que pasa con nosotros y nosotras?

El martes 12 de enero del 2010 a las 4,40 de la tarde un sismo de una magnitud del 7,3 obliga a la reconstrucción y refundación del Estado de Haití, en el siglo XXI.

Un haitiano afirma en su obra que si para algunos el Estado es el pueblo mismo, para otros un Estado bien organizado puede ser rico pero con ciudadanos pobres. Si la riqueza es de quienes dirigen el Estado entonces esos bienes no son del pueblo. El Estado no es el pueblo. Haití ha tenido por siglos su pueblo en la miseria.

Si se habla de refundación habrá que considerar los valores que fueron considerados anteriormente por ciertas creencias, ciertas ideologías, mitologías, leyendas. La Edad Media ha quedado atrás con la adoración a los muertos, al dios de vodou y el culto a la creación. Hoy en momentos de la postmodernidad es necesario hablar de un estado laico e independiente donde sus ciudadanos progresan por el esfuerzo, estudio y trabajo. Pertenecemos a una sociedad Latinoamericana y del Caribe, occidental y cristiana con valores que privilegian la vida de las personas, creadas como hijos e hijas de Dios, en lugar de la veneración de la muerte. No se debe volver a reconocer otra posibilidad de vida que el desarrollo de nuestras capacidades para conducirnos unidos, hacia un desarrollo. Las tradiciones culturales y las prácticas diabólicas son las que nos han sumido en la más profunda pobreza y a sobrestimar los valores extranjeros en detrimento de nuestros propios valores. A creer que nosotros no podemos hacer nada sin la ayuda del extranjero. Estos aspectos inmateriales e ideológicos que deben tomarse en cuenta para la refundación de Haití, son aspectos que también tenemos que tener en cuenta para la línea de orientación de cada uno de nuestros caminos.

La perdida de la vivienda, de la casa de estudios, de la salud, de la dignidad como cualquier otro miembro del género humano con sus derechos, ha llevado a vivir a los haitianos en otros lugares. Pero al conocer otras posibilidades se fortalece la perspectiva del Haití que quedó atrás. ¿No es acaso cierto que la cultura o creencias que hemos interiorizado en la infancia llevan a arrinconarnos individualmente en lugar de ser solidarios y fraternos para las necesidades nuestras y de otros?

El estado crítico del Estado antes del sismo se agravo violentamente desde el 2010 hay muchas cosas que podemos hacer, por nosotros y por la gestión de un cambio radical de nuestra sociedad. Un cambio psíquico, espiritual, estructural, superestructural, económico, político, institucional, educacional y social.

Dice un autor haitiano que es el momento de buscar hombres y mujeres con cualidades morales e intelectuales. Si el anterior régimen tiene un liderazgo sordo, ciego y mudo conspirando con los capitales extranjeros, en la refundación del Estado, deberemos contar con un nuevo liderazgo colectivo fundado en la capacidad, la moral, la transparencia y la participación.

Los países donde residimos en America latina están en su proceso democrático, señalar nuestros derechos por los pactos preexistentes como migrantes son la primera necesidad; son derechos a entrar en el país, permanecer, documentarse, estudiar y trabajar. La lucha por nuestras necesidades y la de nuestros compatriotas nos fortalecerá para comenzar a pensar en lo que nos queda por hacer en Haití.

Los invitamos a que sigamos tratando nuestros temas, nos reunamos y planteemos cada perspectiva y cada necesidad para trabajar comunitariamente.

THE POWER OF FAITH

Faith To Move Mountains!

After several beautiful years of marriage my wife and I received news from our Doctor that no married couple wants to hear. We were told that it would be a medical impossibility to have children! At first we were in tears about the situation. Once we made it through the initial shock, the tears were replaced with uncertainty and hopelessness. My wife and I met each other working with youth as Youth Pastors, and once we decided marriage was in our future, the thought of having our own kids was both exciting and expected. What our doctor (s) told us regarding our inability to have kids was not something we ever expected to hear. After the initial announcement accompanied by a multitude of emotions flooding our minds, we decided to do what we know best, take it to the great Physician.

The bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It also tells us in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him” These scriptures became fuel for our belief that God’s word is more powerful than man’s medical outcomes. Armed with this knowledge my wife and I decided to do the following: Pray every morning, holding hands and agreeing that God will bless us with three children. We called each of their names out in prayer everyday for two years-Darrell Jr. Sophia Olivia and Alexander Joshua.

We also took hold of the scripture in Numbers 23:19,” God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” With this in mind, we were convinced that our firstborn would be our son Darrell Jr. Our faith was so strong that we proceeded to set up a baby room in our home-for a little boy. Some of our family members thought that we had lost our minds.

We actually thought that this was a good sign we were doing the will of God☺ With room in place and faith abounding, we continued to pray for another year. Nothing was happening in the natural but we were convinced that that things were taking place in the spirit. Our faith was fully at work.

To make a long story short, today I am the proud father of four beautiful children, my oldest Darrell Jr, my second Sophia Olivia and my baby boy Alexander Joshua. God decided to throw a cherry on top and allowed us to recently adopt our youngest, 20 month old Abigail Jubilee. Brothers and sisters in Christ, this experience taught me that if we do it God’s way, our faith has the ability to move mountains.

This spiritual truth pertains to all aspects of our Christian experience be it parenting, business and industry, ministry and any other call God has on our lives. I pray the testimony of our family’s greatest miracle to date can encourage you to believe that through Christ, all things are possible.

I DO solemnly resolvebefore God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.
I WILL love them,protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritualleader of my home.
I WILL be faithful to mywife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her asJesus Christ did for me.
I WILL bless my childrenand teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, andall of their strength.
I WILL train them tohonor authority and live responsibly.
I WILL confront evil,pursue justice, and love mercy.
I WILL pray for othersand treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.
I WILL work diligentlyto provide for the needs of my family.
I WILL forgive those whohave wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.
I WILL learn from mymistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable toGod.
I WILL seek to honor God,be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.
